Poverty and Inequality Profile of Population Expenditures in Aceh Province March 2019

In March 2019, the number of poor people in Aceh reached 819 thousand people (15.32 percent), reduced by 12 thousand people compared to the poor population in September 2018, which amounted to 831 thousand people (15.68 percent). Whereas when compared to March of the previous year, the number of poor people fell by 20 thousand people (15.97 percent).

During the period September 2018 - March 2019, the percentage of poor people in urban areas has increased while in rural areas has decreased. In urban areas, the percentage of poor people rose by 0.05 percent (from 9.63 percent to 9.68 percent), while in rural areas it fell 0.49 percent (from 18.52 percent to 18.03 percent).
