Abstract
The prices for various commodities in July 2021 generally showed a decline. In July 2021 there was a deflation of 0.07 percent, or a decline in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 107.04 in June 2021 to 106.96 in July 2021.
Deflation that occurred in Aceh (Combination of 3 Cities) occurred due to a decrease in prices as indicated by a decrease in the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 0.43 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.27 percent. Expenditure groups experiencing inflation, namely: clothing and footwear group by 0.35 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and household fuel groups by 0.08 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.25 percent; transportation group by 0.05 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.06 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.08 percent; education group by 0.27 percent; and group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 0.05 percent.
The inflation rate for the calendar year (January–July) 2021 is 0.39 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2021 to July 2020) is 2.61 percent.
