Abstract
In general, the price developments for various commodities in September 2020 indicated a decline. In September 2020 there was deflation of 0.10 percent, or there was a decrease in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 104.72 in August 2020 to 104.62 in September 2020.
Deflation that occurred in Aceh (Combined 3 Cities) occurred due to a decrease in prices as indicated by a decrease in the index for the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.49 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.01 percent; the health group of 0.04 percent; the information, communication and financial services group of 0.05 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.21 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.30 percent. Expenditure groups that experienced inflation, namely: the housing, water, electricity, gas and household fuel group by 0.01 percent; equipment, tools and household routine maintenance group by 0.01 percent; the transportation group of 0.18 percent; the education group of 1.66 percent; and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.04 percent.
The inflation rate for the calendar year (January – September) 2020 is 1.72 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (September 2020 to September 2019) is 1.89 percent.
