Abstract
In general, the price developments for various commodities in February 2021 indicated a decline. In February 2021, there was deflation of 0.65 percent, or there was a decrease in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 107.38 in January 2021 to 106.68 in February 2021.
Deflation that occurred in Aceh (Combined 3 Cities) occurred due to a decrease in prices as indicated by a decrease in the index for the expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.19 percent; the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.31 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.79 percent. Expenditure groups that experienced inflation, namely: the clothing and footwear group by 0.33 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and household fuel group of 0.30 percent; health group of 0.63 percent; the transportation group of 0.04 percent; the information, communication and financial services group of 0.18 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.03 percent; the education group of 0.12 percent; and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.01 percent.
The inflation rate for the calendar year (January – February) in 2021 is 0.13 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (February 2021 against February 2020) is 2.59 percent.
